SUBMISSION STATUS: OPEN

Today Girl is like hitting CTRL-P on your trash instead of 'EMPTY ALL'. Are there past injustices demanding a revisit? Present issues keeping you up at night? Future visions visiting you in the shower?
We aim to post about 3-4 text-based works a month, as well as 3-4 visual pieces. If a submission is particularly timely this might change. Said monthly batch will be as eclectic and diverse as is humanly possible!
Our review period is 33 days. After the 34th day of silence, please please reach out. This is currently a single cyborg operation. Today Girl is the forehead child of a working art student (me!).

BEFORE YOU SUBMIT: Today Girl is for future girls. We are eager to amplify femme voices, voices which might not otherwise be published/listened to/treated with respect. (A femme person is someone who identifies as one). This does not mean you must a girl to submit. It just means that if you are a straight cis man, we gently suggest you reconsider how your work aligns with our vision.

FOR TEXT: We favor essayistic writing - think fluffy pen and swirly handwriting, a Carrie Bradshaw column, Jia Tolentino, Vauhini Vara, Roxanne Gay. Doesn't need to be a polished thesis, just needs a personality. However, we also love poetry and fiction, so don't be discouraged. Please submit 1-3 poems for a total of 10 pages. As for prose, try to keep it 1,000-2,000 words. This is a flexible limit; I am a nerd.

FOR VISUAL: Please submit 1-3 pieces, and for each piece an unlimited number of images. Medium has no influence on acceptance rate. Artistic intent does.

In your submission, please provide a brief couplet about yourself. Doesn't necessarily need to be an author biography. As long as you get credited for your work, the formality doesn't really matter to us.
